(WBNG Binghamton) Community members are invited to audition for the Binghamton University Chorus, conducted by Bruce Borton, on Monday, August 27th from 7:30-9:30p.m. in the Fine Arts Building, Room 27 by appointment.
According to a news release:
The University Chorus provides students, faculty and community members the opportunity to join forces in performing the great masterworks of choral music. It is a large chorus of 125 to 150 singers who perform annually with a full orchestra. Over its 30-plus year history, the chorus has performed more than 50 major works from every historical period. During the upcoming season the Chorus will present the Verdi Requiem with the Binghamton Philharmonic in November and will join the University Symphony to perform Durufle’s Requiem in the Spring. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30-9:30 p.m. during the academic year. Audition appointments can be made by calling the Music Department Office during the day at (607) 777-2592.
Binghamton University students can audition during the first week of classes, Tuesday, September 4 – Friday, September 7, 2012. Students need to sign up for an audition time outside of Fine Arts Room 27 (sheets posted on the doors). For more information, call the Music Office at (607) 777-2592.
