(WBNG Binghamton) The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park invites the community and holiday guests to walk off some of that turkey this weekend.
According to a news release:
The Binghamton Zoo will be open for the final days of the 2012 season this Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Come up and visit the animal collection for the final time this year between the hours of 10:00 am – 4:00 pm. Last tickets are sold at 3:00 pm.
The zoo is open Friday, November 23, Saturday, November 24, and Sunday, November 25 as we close out the 2012 operating season. On Saturday, visitors will be treated to a special behind the scenes tiger tour. See where Koosaka and Terney, our newest additions to the zoo, hang out when they’re not on exhibit! If you’re lucky, you may get to meet our big cats up close! Guests will also have the opportunity to say hello to the zoo’s new Animal Curator, Dave Orndorff. Tiger tours will take place between 1:00 pm – 2:00 pm on Saturday.
After this final weekend at the zoo, we will be closed while we prepare for an exciting 2013 schedule.
Visit the zoo throughout December at the Oakdale Mall! The Binghamton Zoo will have holiday tables on the main concourse from December 1 – December 24. Zoo memberships, holiday adopt an animal packages, gift shop items, and other zoo gifts can be purchased for your loved ones. Christmas is a time of giving, go WILD.
