(WBNG Binghamton) The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce will host an educational seminar on the Marcellus Shale Supply Chain on Tuesday, October 16, 2012 from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at the Binghamton Club, 83 Front Street in Binghamton.
According to a news release:
This program is designed to educate Chamber members and other local businesses about the opportunities that exist in working with the natural gas industry.
Speakers include:
• Mike Atchie, Chesapeake Energy
• John Augustine, Marcellus Shale Coalition
• Mike Durant, National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB)
• Neil Guiles, BK Energy Services
• Mark Lang, URS Corporation
Speakers will provide a definition of the Marcellus Shale Supply Chain; the service needs of the natural gas industry; an example of local business who has worked successfully with the industry; and how natural gas development will benefit small businesses.
The program is FREE to Chamber members and costs $15 for non-members who register by October 12, 2012. Cost for non-members is $20 after October 12. The program includes a buffet breakfast and informational literature.
