(WBNG Binghamton) Broome County STOP-DWI has announced the lineup for this year's Chris Thater Memorial Music Festival held on Saturday, August 24th from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm and Sunday, August 25th from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm at Recreation Park in Binghamton.
According to a news release:
On Saturday August, 24th, the Rhythm & Blues begins at 10:00 am and includes nonstop jazz, steel drums, blues guitar, and blues vocalists until 7:00 pm. Performers include Miles Ahead Jazz Quartet, Chris Mollo, Panigma, Mike Cadden, Ultra Vibe, Juice Blenders Steel Drum Band, Citizen 5, Ayana D Experiment, and The Eric Ross Blues Band.
Sunday the 25th features Country & Celtic music including bagpipes, folk, country, and Irish rock. The music begins at 10:00 am with The Richard Maloney Memorial Pipe Band and continues through the afternoon with Tom O'Connor, Frank Vieira and The Shambles.

Music Fest attendees are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket and umbrella. This is a free event for the entire family.
The 2013 Chris Thater Memorial Races, held at the same time, will include running and cycling competitions for all ages and abilities and a large expo/vendor display area with a food concessions. The Chris Thater Memorial is presented by Broome County STOP-DWI and supported by Premier Sponsors SEFCU.
