Cornell Cooperative Extension hosting home beekeeping class

(WBNG Binghamton) Looking for a truly local source of honey?  Home beekeeping might be your answer.

To find out what it takes to get started, join Sue Garing of the Southern Tier Beekeepers Association for an introductory class in backyard beekeeping. 

According to a news release:

The class will be held Thursday, July 11th, from 6:30 – 8:00pm at the Tioga County office building (56 Main Street, Owego). 
Participants will learn about honey bee biology, beekeeping equipment, and how to keep a hive healthy and productive.
