Bainbridge, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) -- Coughlin & Gerhart, L.L.P., proudly opened its new Bainbridge office on Tuesday, January 3, 2012.
The office is located at 29 N. Main Street in Bainbridge, which formerly held the law offices of Attorney David DeClue. The new Bainbridge office is a result of Coughlin & Gerhart’s decision to consolidate its Afton and Unadilla branches. Coughlin & Gerhart believes that the new office, which is centrally located, will better serve its clients in the Tri-Town area.
The Afton office was one of the oldest law firms in the region, operating for over 50 years. It was also Coughlin & Gerhart’s first satellite office. Coughlin & Gerhart has operated the Unadilla office since 1992, when they succeeded to the law practice of Attorney Livingston Latham. Beth Westfall, Esq., and Meiying Austin, Esq. will be the primary attorneys assigned to the Bainbridge office.
Services provided by the Bainbridge office include real estate transactions, estate planning, elder law, trust and estate administration, municipal law, and gas leasing matters.
Attorneys from the main office will provide support to the Bainbridge branch in other areas of law, including personal injury, negligence, and contract disputes. Coughlin & Gerhart also has a public law practice group and represents several municipalities in the Tri-Town area.
Coughlin & Gerhart’s main office is at The Huron Campus, 1701 North Street, Endicott, and they have been serving the Southern Tier since the 1890’s. Today, they are a multi-service law firm consisting of more than 40 lawyers and a professional support staff. In addition to their main office, Coughlin & Gerhart, L.L.P. has branch offices in Binghamton, Ithaca, Owego, Bainbridge, Hancock, and Montrose.
