Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) More than 130 youngsters ranging in age from six to eighteen have been busy preparing for the EPAC's Kids Theater Workshop production of the TONY Award-winning Broadway show "SHREK: The Musical.”

Eight performances featuring four separate casts will run from April 3 to April 13 on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays at 8:00 p.m., and on Sundays at 3:00 p.m.

This year celebrates EPAC's 15th annual Kids Theater Workshop.

Featuring all new songs as well as Shrek anthem “I’m a Believer,” the musical will bring the well-loved characters to life, in a hilarious production based on the story and characters from the Oscar®-winning DreamWorks Animation film.

Auditions and rehearsals began in January and the show is the end result of weeks of hard work on the parts of the participants as well as their parents.

"EPAC kids rock," said musical director Pat Foti. "They energize and tucker me out at the same time," he added.

Tickets are $15 for adults and $12 for Seniors (65 & Over) and Children (12 & Under). Tickets are available by calling EPAC at 607-785-8903 or online. They can also be purchased at the EPAC box office from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday.
