Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Looking for a chance to recycle all of your old electronics in the most environmentally friendly way possible? The Cornell Cooperative Extension of Broome County is hosting an Electronics Recycling Day on Saturday, September 6 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

You can drop off any and all of the following: phones, cell phones, audio-visual equipment, microwaves, vacuums, fans, electric heaters, coffee makers (no glass pots), blenders (no glass containers), computers, monitors, keyboards, mice, cables, video game consoles, laptops, scanners, faxes, copiers, VCR’s, DVD players, all TV’s, digital converter boxes and more.

The Cornell Cooperative Extension said bringing your electronics and other items to this event will support CCE-Broome County and the environment. All items will be safely recycled by REACT (Recycling Electronics And Computer Technologies Inc.) and CCE-BC will receive money for each pound collected.

CCE-BC staff and numerous United Way Day of Caring volunteers will be available to unload your items.

The facility is located on 840 Front St. in Binghamton.

For more information about dropping off items prior to the event, contact Carol at (607) 584-9966.
