Free Health Screenings For Senior Members Of the Community Nov. 29

(WBNG Binghamton) The Southern Tier Center on Aging, part of Binghamton University’s Institute for Intergenerational Studies, is hosting a Health Fair from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, at the Broome West Senior Center, 2801 Wayne Street in Endwell.

According to a news release:

The health screenings provided at the fair are free for senior members of the community.
 
Graduate students from Binghamton University’s Department of Social Work and the Hartford Partnership Program for Aging Education (HPPAE) are collaborating with medical residents from UHS’ Family Practice Residency Program and Broome County’s Office for Aging to provide health screenings. Students and professionals will be performing screenings for geriatric depression, cognitive function, glucose levels, and high blood pressure. The team will also be available to conduct general health counseling and provide referrals for follow-up appointments.
