(WBNG Binghamton) The Southern Tier Regional Economic Development Council (STREDC) announced Thursday that ten projects will receive additional funding made available through The Rural Fund, which is part of Governor Cuomo's Regional Council Initiative.
$8 million will be distributed to the projects.
The projects include CNY Wood Expansion in Tioga County, South Broad Street Revitalization in Norwich, and a Sunrise Family Farms expansion in Greene.
The STREDC says that the projects have the potential to create over 1,000 jobs and revitalize communities.
