Give Thanks, Give Hope, Give Blood this Thanksgiving

(WBNG Binghamton) Whether it is serving Thanksgiving dinner at a local shelter or donating food to the poor, many families, friends and co-workers have developed holiday traditions over the years.

According to a news release:

This year, the American Red Cross is asking you to consider giving blood throughout the holiday season and start a new tradition of giving with your family and friends.
                  
The Red Cross will host blood drives on Thanksgiving and over the holiday weekend and is encouraging all eligible blood donors to give blood in celebration of Thanksgiving.

Johnson City Blood Donation Center, 365 Harry L Dr, Johnson City, 7:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

Friday, November 23
Johnson City Blood Donation Center, 365 Harry L Dr, Johnson City, 7:30 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.

DETAILS:

As a way of saying “Thanks for Giving” to our loyal donors and to help maintain an adequate community blood supply, all presenting donors will have the opportunity to enter two great raffles. The first raffle is the Turkey-A-Day Giveaway. All presenting donors can enter for a chance to win a $50 gift card to use toward their holiday feast. Additionally, all presenting donors will also have the opportunity enter a drawing for a $200 gift card that can be used toward the cost of heating their home, courtesy of Suburban Propane.*
