(WBNG Binghamton) Healthy Communities – Northern Broome, along with other community agencies, is holding a health fair on Friday, August 24th to celebrate the end of the summer food program in Lisle.
According to a news release:
It will be held at the Lisle Fire Department from 11:30am – 1:30pm. Representatives from the Rural Health Network, United Health Services, the Food Bank of the Southern Tier, Cornell Cooperative Extension, Faith in Action, the Whitney Point Senior Center, the Friendship Tree, the Parish Nurse Program, and other special guests will be on site with activities and information for attendees.
The health fair is open to the public – please join us for fun activities and learn more about the services in the community that can help you! The summer food program will also be on site to serve lunch to local children and their parents. If you have school-aged children (K-12) who will be joining us for lunch on Friday, August 24th, please call Kelly Kooiman at (607) 692-4330 and leave a message with the number of meals.
