Hurricane Sandy's Polar Plunge Fundraiser at Binghamton University Set for Dec. 8

(WBNG Binghamton) Ever thought of jumping into freezing cold water to raise money for the Hurricane Sandy Victims?

If so, come down to the Binghamton University Union (outside, between engineer building and the union) December 8th to participate in Hurricane Sandy's Polar Plunge.

According to a news release:

All you have to do is donate $10 to the fundraiser and you get to show your support for the victims. If you don't want to take the plunge you can take the CHICKEN DIP and dip your feet into the cold water.

WHERE: OUTSIDE Binghamton University Union (between engineer building and the union)

WHEN: December 8th, 2012

TIME: 2:00- 4:00 pm

THEME: SUPER HERO- because anyone willing to jump into cold water to raise money is a super hero in my mind.

IMPORTANT: Because of safety issues you'll need to read & sign a wavier. You must be 18 & older to participate. If you're younger than 18 then you will need to have a parent or guardian sign the wavier as well.

WHAT TO WEAR: ANYTHING really. Just make sure it is appropriate attire because there will be camera crews there.

WHAT TO BRING: A towel and warm clothing to change into.

All proceeds go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

Donate $10 to the fundraiser and take the PLUNGE. Show your support. Cash or check is accepted. All donations are accepted. You don't need to take the plunge to donate.
