Ithaca City School District President, Vice President Receive Awards

(WBNG Binghamton) The Ithaca City School District Board of Education President Rob Ainslie, and Vice President Seth Peacock were recognized at the Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, January 12 for the extensive time and effort they have devoted to the district.

According to a news release:

The Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Luvelle Brown, presented them both with Board Achievement Awards from the New York State School Boards Association.

Board Achievement Awards are granted to board members who have earned at least 75 recognition points. Board members gain recognition points for participation in any NYSSBA developmental activities, such as conventions, trainings, conferences, or workshops.

"Mr. Ainslie and Mr. Peacock are outstanding community leaders," said Dr. Brown. "Their efforts are allowing for exceptional opportunities to be offered to our district's 6000+ thinkers."
