Johnson City Alternate Street Parking in Effect

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton), Alternate street parking will begin in Johnson City Nov. 1 and continue until March 31, 2013.

The following is a press release from the Village of Johnson City Police Department:

Effective Nov. 1, 2012 at 2 a.m. alternate street parking will begin.

Between the hours of 2 a.m. and 6 a.m. vehicles will need to be parked on the side of the street that corresponds with the odd or even house number.

For example, on Nov. 1, 2012 at 2 a.m. all vehicles will need to be parked on the odd numbered side of the road.

The Johnson City Police Department will be issuing warning tickets for the first three days of alternate street parking.

Police will be issuing parking tickets during the first five days.

Alternate street parking will remain in effect through until March 31, 2013.
