(WBNG Binghamton) UHS has partnered with the Broome County Health Dept, Oakdale Mall, Binghamton University, Sodexo, BOCES, Broome Community College, Excellus, WSKG, Binghamton Metropolitan Transportation Study to get the community walking for health, fitness and enjoyment.
The effort is called B.C. Walks, and you and your family members, friends and co-workers can easily get with the program.
According to a news release:
B.C. Walks is for everyone, no matter what your age or fitness level. And walking isn't the only activity that fits in with the program's goals. Everyday tasks such as housework, shopping or washing the car can count toward your total measured steps.
