Maine-Endwell Musicians Win Awards at Festival

Sandusky, Ohio (WBNG Binghamton) Maine-Endwell High School music performance groups won awards at the Music in the Parks festival held May 27 at Cedar Point Amusement Park in Sandusky, Ohio.

The school’s symphonic band and string orchestra placed first in the competition, and the school’s orchestra placed first as the competition’s “overall orchestra.” The school’s women’s chorus placed second in the competition.

In addition, Maine-Endwell was awarded the festival’s most prestigious award, the Esprit de Corps, which is presented to the school which demonstrates not only musical excellence, but exceptional behavior and citizenship during the festival.

Maine-Endwell students were among 2,000 musicians from Michigan, Ohio, New York, North Carolina and New Jersey to compete in the festival.
