(WBNG Binghamton) As part of the Chevrolet Youth Soccer program, Matthews Chevrolet donated $1200 worth of new equipment to the Vestal Youth Soccer board in a meeting at the Vestal Public Library Tuesday night.
According to a news release:
The equipment was chosen by the league based on their needs and included:
- 5 Sets (of 10) Brine Low Profile Field Cones
- 1 Corner Flag Set
- 5 Sets (of 12) Mesh Scrimmage Vests
- 2 Sets (of 2) Mini Pop-Up Goals
- 10 First Aid Kits
Matthews also awarded the league a check for $500 and is sponsoring a Youth Soccer Clinic, details below. Additionally the league is selling raffle tickets to win a brand new 2013 Chevy Malibu with 100% of the proceeds supporting the league. The raffle ticket also includes a free lube oil and filter courtesy of Matthews Chevrolet.
Registration for the clinic will be done online at www.chevroletsoccer.com/clinics and begins on Wednesday, August 22 at Noon.
There is limited availability for the clinic so registrations will be honored on a first-come, first-served basis. Once the clinic is full, interested participants will still be allowed to sign up for the clinic but will be put on a waiting list. If spots open up, they will be filled from the waiting list in the order in which they were registered.
