Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) James O’Brien, MD, has joined UHS Cardiology in Norwich, and beginning in May will see patients in the former Heart Care Center at UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Jack Brereton and the rest of the cardiology staff are happy to welcome Dr. O’Brien to the practice.
Dr. Brereton stated, “Having Dr. O’Brien here will expand the services we are able to offer local cardiology patients right here in Norwich.”
Dr. O’Brien comes to UHS Chenango Memorial Hospital from Vermont, where he practiced clinical and invasive cardiology and internal medicine at the O’Brien Health Center in Winooski, and was an attending physician at Fletcher Allen Health Care in Colchester and Burlington. Dr. O’Brien is a graduate of the University of Vermont College of Medicine with post-doctoral training at Albany Medical Center, where he completed an Internal Medicine residency and a fellowship in Cardiology.
Board certified in Cardiology by American Board of Internal Medicine, Dr. O‘Brien is a Diplomate, American Board of Internal Medicine, and Fellow, American College of Cardiology.
