OFO Offering New Support to Parents

Oneonta, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Opportunities for Otsego has launched a new initiative, Mothers, Infants, and Loving Connections (MILC), to support new parents in choosing healthy feeding options for their infants.

Pregnant women, new parents, and caregivers are invited to the first meeting, which is being held on Thursday, December 1st at 6:00PM at the First United Methodist Church in Oneonta.

The topic of the evening is “Pre and Post Delivery Nutrition for Mother and Baby” and will be presented by guest speaker, Grace Benkovitz. Fathers are encouraged to attend.

MILC is a group of professionals from various early childhood programs at Opportunities for Otsego, including WIC, Building Healthy Families, and Early Head Start. The intent of the project is to support breastfeeding mothers by offering networking opportunities and social connections with other new parents and families.
