(WBNG Binghamton) Here's a list of events scheduled at The Discovery Center in October.

Special Events

Haunted Halloween Hallows Exhibit October 1 - 31

The Haunted Hallows are back at The Discovery Center for another year of hands-on Halloween fun!  Visit the not too creepy, but so much fun haunted house or the mad scientist lab atop the tower to learn about anatomy.  Dance your way around the tombstones or take a ride in the magical pumpkin coach.  Use your imagination to stir up some magic potions and try to solve all of the Halloween riddles.  Bring a costume or try one of ours but…Beware!  Fun is everywhere!  The Haunted Halloween Hallows opens on October 1st.

An Apple a Day- Friday, Oct. 5th 10am to 3:30pm Free with museum admission.

Take a bite out of fun with a day full of apples at the Discovery Center! Find apple-themed games and crafts throughout the museum, learn about the lifecycle of apple trees and take home tasty apple recipes. Keep one eye open for special guests and treats!

Dog Day Afternoon - Monday, Oct. 8th 10am to 3pm Free with museum admission.

Join us on your day off from school for some puppy love! Humans and dogs have a long, rich history together. What makes dogs such great pets?
