(WBNG Binghamton) The Skating Community for Opportunities in Recreation and Enrichment (The S.C.O.R.E.) will be holding its 3rd Annual "Raise the Rink" Benefit to help raise funds and community support for The S.C.O.R.E. Mission and the planned Ice Rink and Community Center Project.

According to a news release:

The event is scheduled for Friday, July 27th at the En-Joie Golf Course on Main Street in Endicott.    The benefit is made up of two separate events on the same day, the All Star Golf Tournament and the Community Block Party.  Both events are expected to happen rain or shine. There are still opportunities to participate.

The 3rd Annual Raise the Rink All Star Golf Tournament is a captain and crew format with a shotgun start at 1:30pm at The En-Joie Golf Course, and there are a few spots still available!  This year's special guests include Toronto Maple Leaf forward Jerry D'Amigo, members of the Binghamton Senators, and several members of Broome County's pro hockey past.  The event features a chance to win a car in the Jack Sherman Hole-in-One Challenge as well as other special prizes.  Each golfer receives a gift bag, golf shirt, barbeque buffet catered by Orlando's Catering, and entrance into the 3nd Annual "Raise the Rink Block Party".  Event and Hole Sponsors are still being accepted and team and individual golfer spots remain.  Cost per foursome is $400 and hole sponsorships are $150.    Packages that include a hole sponsorship and a golf foursome are available at $500.

The Block Party is a family friendly event that starts at 6pm (after the golf tournament) and goes into the evening and features the barbeque buffet, beer, wine, and soda, music with DJ TAK3, raffles, and the very popular Sports Memorabilia Auction.  This year's items include MLB Save Leader, Jimmy Johnson's signed game jersey, a signed NY Ranger Captain Ryan Callahan Jersey from the NHL Winter Classic and much more.  VIP Block Party admission which includes the dinner is a donation of $20 for adults, $10 for children 12 and under, with children under 5 free.  Others are welcome to attend the event without the meal option for a donation of $5.  Food and refreshments will also be available for purchase.
