(WBNG Binghamton) Roberson Museum and Science Center will hold its first Dance-A-Thon fundraiser Saturday, October 6 from 7pm-1am.

According to a news release:

The Dance-A-Thon serves as a kick-off event to Roberson’s Annual Fund Drive.

Whether you have two left feet or can float across the ballroom, WE WANT YOU to join us for a fun-filled night and help support Roberson.

Join us Saturday, October 6 from 7pm-1am as we dance the night away!

*DJ Mo "Music" Taylor will be playing the jams all night long to keep you moving.*
*The night will also feature a local "Dancing With the Stars" Competition.*
*The evening will also include a “Thrilling” Surprise.*

Refreshments and entertainment will be available throughout the evening.  There is no admission fee for the event, but Roberson would like participating dancers to help us raise money by setting up their own fundraising page through FirstGiving.com.
Roberson is using the site as a safe and easy way to collect donations and to support our dancers!  If you don’t set up a page but would like to dance, we suggest a donation at the door.

Offline donations are acceptable too. Checks can be made to Roberson Museum and Science Center.  Our address is 30 Front Street, Binghamton, NY 13905.
Roberson is looking for individuals, dance groups, cheer teams, theatre groups and anyone who likes to boogie to participate.  It’s a great chance to showcase your dance moves and have a blast while helping Roberson.

Every dollar donated goes a long way in providing support to Roberson so we can continue to serve as a hub of community activity with exciting exhibitions, important educational programs, performing arts and special events.
