(WBNG Binghamton) SEFCU, one of the largest credit unions in New York, will accept donations to benefit the Empire State Relief Fund recently announced by Governor Andrew Cuomo.
According to a news release:
Money will go to help New Yorkers rebuild homes damaged by Hurricane Sandy.
Beginning November 27, all SEFCU branches will accept donations via account transfer or cash. Individuals can also call SEFCU’s Member Solutions Center at 518-452-8183 or 800-727-3328 to make a donation by phone. In addition, credit card contributions can be made by visiting www.reliefny.org. Donations are tax deductible to the extent permitted by law.
“We’re proud to partner with Governor Cuomo to help raise needed funds for those affected by Hurricane Sandy,” said Michael J. Castellana, SEFCU’s President and CEO. “Recently, my team and I saw firsthand the devastation that has taken place as we assisted in various cleanup efforts to help those impacted by this horrific natural disaster,” Castellana added.
