(WBNG Binghamton) The Tioga United Way continues to work with FamilyWize to provide a free prescription drug discount card that is saving residents tens of thousands of dollars.

According to United Way, the card lowers the cost of medicine by as much as 75 percent.

341 Tioga County residents have saved nearly $25,000.

"We're living in tight economic times. People should not have to choose between taking their medication and paying for groceries," said executive director Brian Eldridge.

The cards can be picked up at the Tioga United Way or printed here.
