(WBNG Binghamton) A couple of science-related events are all ready to take place this weekend in the Southern Tier. Roy Williams from the Kopernik Observatory was in our studio to tell us more.

At The Barnes and Noble in the Town Square Mall in Vestal, Greg Sloan from Cornell University will speak on "This Thing Called Science."

He will address the questions, "When you get right down to it, what is science in the first place?"

And "how does astronomy fit the bill?"

Plus, learn how to identify constellations and planets at the Kopernik Observatory on January 18, at 9:30 p.m. during the Winter Skies Program.
