Cooperstown, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Cooperstown Sportsmen's Association will be hosting a weekend of clay target shooting, and all proceeds after expenses will go to the American Cancer Society.
Shoot for a Cure II will be held on July 12 and July 13 at the Cooperstown Sportsmen's Association clubhouse, on State Highway 28, two miles west of Cooperstown.
Skeet shooters who are members of the National Skeet Shooters Association and the New York Shooters Association can shoot for registered targets on July 12.
Registration will start at 8 a.m. and it is a two gun event: 20-gauge in the morning and 28-gauge in the afternoon.
An entry fee of $30 per gun will be charged and all targets must be registered. No prizes will be awarded.
On July 13, an open skeet and trap segment will be held, for non-registered shooters.
Skeet shooting will start at 8:30 a.m. Sunday, and trap will begin at noon.
$7.50 will be charged for each round of skeet and trap.
The clubhouse will open at 7:30 a.m. each day.
Lunch will be available on Saturday and Sunday for a reasonable donation.
