Free workshop on how to start your own business

Owego, N.Y. (WBNG Binghamton) A free two-session workshop will be held on how to start your own small business.

The sessions will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 21 and Thursday, May 22, located in the Tioga County Administrative Building, lower level, Classroom #1.

The administrative building is located at 56 Main Street in Owego.

Topics include:
- Overview of small business resources
- Evaluating the feasibility of self-employment, including
self-assessment, the business idea and financial considerations
- Overview of the business plan
- Small business financing

Space is limited. Call the Tioga County Economic Development and Planning office at (607) 687-8255 to pre-register.

The facilitator is Ginny L. Robert, owner of Business Plans That Rock. She has 26 years of experience as a small business trainer and coach. Ginny has an MBA from Binghamton University and a BA in teaching from Bradley University.
