Summer fun for families at the Broome County Public Library

(WBNG Binghamton) The Broome County Public Library recently announced its Summer Reading Program, which will begin on June 24. 

According to a news release:

Families who sign up for the program and complete their Reading Log by August 17 will earn free books, B-Mets tickets, and a chance to win a Barnes & Noble Nook. 

Each week between June 24 and August 8, these fun programs will be held:

Lapsit Story Time (Ages 0-3) – Tuesday and Thursday, 10:00am

Preschool Story Time (Ages 3-5) – Thursday, 11:30am

Crafty Kids (All ages) – Wednesday, 2:00-4:00pm
Additionally, the following special programs will be held for families:

June 24, 6:30pm – Pete the Pirate

July 1, 6:30pm – “Can You Dig It?” with Flow Circus

July 8, 6:30pm – “Dig the Beat” with Musician Jay Mankita

July 15, 6:30pm – Ventriloquist Bruce Weaver

July 22, 6:30pm – Mime with Robert Rivest

July 29, 6:30pm – Dig Down Deep: Interactive Stories with Lonna Pierce

August 6, 5:30pm-7:30pm – Animal Adventures
