(WBNG Binghamton) The Ale House in Vestal, New York presented The Front Street Dog Shelter with a donation in the amount of $1,150.00.

According to a news release issued Thursday:

The money was raised as a memorial to Star, the business ownersʼ family dog, who was three months old when he was adopted from the shelter in 2000. Star passed away in July 2012.

Making the presentation to Kelly Conlon, manager at the shelter, was Jeremy Sansone, who was six when he and his family adopted Star.

“The Front Street Dog Shelter was there to help Star, so we wanted to do something to help out the shelter. Our customers made donations, which we matched dollar for
dollar. The goal was $1000, but our customers quickly helped us to exceed that amount” said Sansone, who, with his parents, Tim and Diane, operate the family business.
