The Endicott Performing Arts Center (EPAC) presents William Shakespeare’s “The Taming of the Shrew” at 7:30 p.m., August 16 - 19 at the George W. Johnson Park on Oak Hill Avenue in Endicott. The Stage at Little Italy, built at the park in 2009, provides a perfect outdoor setting for a summer evening of entertainment.

One of Shakespeare’s most popular comedies, “The Taming of the Shrew” is a classic battle of the sexes with slapstick humor and richly comic characters. EPAC’s 9th annual Shakespeare in the Park production is directed by Chris Nickerson, and stars Courtney Bennett as Kate and Tim Mollen as Petruchio.

“This is our 9th annual Shakespeare in the Parks production”, says EPAC Executive Director Lou Ligouri. “It’s EPAC’s way of thanking the community for their support throughout the year”.

Admission is free, although a goodwill offering is encouraged. Refreshments will be available at the park and blankets and lawn chairs are suggested. For more information contact EPAC at 607-785-8903.
