Tioga County Health Department hosting flu clinics

(WBNG Binghamton) Tioga County Health Department will be starting flu clinics the 2nd week of October.

All people 6 months of age and older are encouraged to get the influenza vaccination, especially those in the following groups:

1. Any adult with chronic medical conditions such as asthma or other lung disease, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease, or blood disease.

2. Any adult who is/may be immunocompromised (including immunosuppression caused by medications or by HIV).

3. Any woman who is pregnant during flu season.

4. Any resident of a nursing home or other chronic care facility.

5. Health Care workers, household contacts and out-of home caregivers of persons at high risk for complication including children under the age of 5 years and adults over 50 years of age.


***Parents are advised to seek flu shots for children at their regular medical provider.
