(WBNG Binghamton) As part of the 2013 United Way Campaign Kick-off, the Tioga United Way will sponsor a motorcycle ride throughout Tioga County, NY on Saturday, September 22.
According to a news release:
The ride will begin at Tioga Opportunities, 9 Sheldon Guile Boulevard in Owego, with registration between 9:00 and 10:00 AM. Coffee and donuts will be provided at registration prior to the ride and lunch will be served at 2:30 PM at the conclusion of the ride. Lunch and refreshments are included in the $15/rider, $10/co-rider registration fee. Four wheel vehicles are also welcome to participate.
There will be “observation questions” and member agency “games of chance” at the various checkpoints along the route, with prizes awarded at the conclusion of the ride.
“This event will help fund special allocations through the year, as communities needs never seem to diminish.” stated Brian Eldridge, Executive Director of Tioga United Way. “Money raised at this event will help the residents of Tioga County by helping here, working here and staying here."
