According to a news release:

The position will be for 6 months beginning in April through September 2013. Two youth will be hired to assist with maintenance and development of the Binghamton Urban Farm, a half acre vegetable market garden located at 16 Tudor St., Downtown Binghamton. Please see the attached job description and application. All interested youth MUST apply by Wednesday, February 6th, 2013. Hours are flexible but heavier during the summer months. Youth have learned skills related to gardening/agriculture, food system/hunger issues, workforce education, marketing, communication/public speaking, work ethic and cooperation.

"Working at the Urban Farm for the third year has made me think about where my food comes from and I actually watch what I put in my body now. As a crew leader I have learned responsibility and how to work as a team", said DeShawn Bostick, 19, VINES 2012 youth Crew Leader, about his experiences working for the program.
