(WBNG Binghamton) Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments (VINES) will hold its annual meeting and potluck on March 13, 2014, 6:30-8:00pm at the United Presbyterian Church of Binghamton, 42 Chenango St, Binghamton, NY.

This meeting is open to the public. Attendees will learn about the exciting programs and events VINES has planned for the year and how to get involved.

VINES will also be launching ticket sales to its Second Annual Spring Fundraiser Dinner on April 28, 2014 at the meeting.

VINES operates seven community gardens, the Binghamton Urban Farm and a community orchard on Binghamton’s North side. VINES manages a summer youth employment program at the Binghamton Urban Farm, located downtown Binghamton where teens are employed for 6-weeks and learn about urban agriculture. VINES also partners with the Healthy Lifestyles Coalition to implement the Binghamton Farm Share program, an opportunity for residents to access organic vegetables at accessible locations and affordable prices.
