(WBNG Binghamton) School counselors at each of the seven schools within the Vestal Central School District plan to kick off a district-wide food drive to benefit CHOW beginning February 1 and running until February 14.

According to a news release:

The theme of the drive is “We Are One.” Non-perishable food items will be collected at African Road, Clayton Avenue, Glenwood, Tioga Hills and Vestal Hills Elementary, Vestal Middle and Vestal High Schools.

Families with students in the district can send food donations in with their children, and residents are welcome to drop off at collection bins in each school’s main lobby.

A student-designed logo to promote the drive is highlighted with information on each school’s web
page of the district website, http://www.vestal.stier.org/index.asp, and a group of Vestal High seniors will organize the donations as they are received.
