(WBNG Binghamton) The students at Windsor Middle School understand what it’s like to be affected by Mother Nature, and now they’re working to help out students in another part of the state who are dealing with the aftermath of storms and flooding.

On Saturday, March 2nd, The Windsor Middle School Student Council is hosting a “Bowling Bonanza” at Sunset Lanes in Kirkwood.

This event is a fundraiser for Oceanside Elementary School, a Long Island school which was adopted by the Windsor School District after being devastated by Hurricane Sandy.

Over 700 families in the school district were displaced from their homes, and many students lost all of their treasured possessions.

The school also lost its entire library, musical instruments, and many other school supplies and equipment.

All 36 of the lanes at Sunset Lanes will be dedicated to the “Bowling Bonanza” from 2-5pm.

For $15, each participant will receive three games of bowling, shoe rental, and a free soda. There will also be a 50/50 raffle and a gift card basket raffle.
