Choconut Twp, PA (WBNG Binghamton) A crash in Choconut Township claims the life of an 11-year-old Sunday evening.

Troopers were on the scene near the Susquehanna County - Broome County line Monday.

Pennsylvania State Police say there were two cars involved.

One was driven by Michelle Tyner, 28, of Endicott.

Troopers say Tyner was traveling south on Route 267.

In an attempt to turn into the Smokin' Joes/Sunoco parking lot, troopers say she crossed into the northbound lane and turned into the path of another car.

It hit Tyner's car in the rear passenger side where Daniel Robert Edsell, 11, was sitting.

He was pronounced dead after being taken to Wilson Hospital.

Michelle Tyner and Daniel Bernard Edsell, 32, suffered minor injuries.

The driver of the other car, Lawrence Koch, 61, of Vestal, was not injured.

State Police have not said whether tickets or charges would be filed.
