Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) As the leaves begin to change on the trees, so too do eyesores in Binghamton.

Elected leaders gathered with local entrepreneuars to gain support for their Henry Street Revival Project.

The campaign begins with these new planters,

What was once ordinary concrete benches are now colorful mosaics.

The art is the handiwork of Susan Jablon and her mosaic

Assemblywoman Donna Lupardo secured a $10,000 grant for the project.

"This is a great, great old city and it had been neglected for a long time so its nice to see all the artists and the galleries and the new momentum that's building," said Lupardo (D-126th District)

The city has a request for artists to come forward in March with ideas to beautify the space.

This was the one they already selected.

Burger Monday's, a new business across the street, will be responsible for the upkeep of the displays.

JS Lawn Care supplied the plants and mulch.
