Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Even the heat couldn't stop hundreds from riding the carousel at CFJ Park today, especially since it was Carousel Day!
The second annual event was loaded with people and there was something to keep everyone busy.
The event featured live music, food, arts and crafts, and even a civil war camp.
The carousel was packed with people of all ages. If those horses were real, they would have needed a water break!
Organizers say long hours put into planning Carousel Day. It's more than just having fun, but remembering our local heritage.
Even if people couldn't make it to Carousel Day, Johnson City Partners hopes that it can enjoy the park another day.
Event organizer Julie Deemie hopes the crowds will continue to grow every year.
