"We already have some residents living here and many many more starting August 15 and the kids who live here I can tell you are delighted. They love the facility which makes us very happy," said Marc Newman of Newman Development.
Residents of Twin Rivers will include students from Binghamton University and Broome Community College.
"This project really started as a vision among our partnership to try to do something really significant within the city that would attract students from Binghamton University and Broome Community College into downtown to live here and a project that would really support the revitalization efforts of the City," said Jeff Smetana, Vice President, Student Housing Development.
The apartments range from studios to four bedrooms. Each apartment is fully furnished with many features including private bedrooms and baths, designer kitchens, full-size washer and dryers, high speed Internet and air conditioning.
