Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It's a new beginning for a restaurant joint in Johnson City that's known for its pizza and wings.

The Corner Carryout is now open at the corner of Riverside Drive and Grand Avenue. It's been open nearly three weeks.

It's at the former Cosmo's Carryout. The building had about five feet of water after the September 2011 floods.

The new management did the repairs and have now made it their own.

The menu features pizza, wings, sandwiches and other munchies.

"They can find the same food as the formerly known Cosmo's. Pizzas and wings are our biggest sellers. Also, hamburgers and spaghetti," said Bryan Kelly, The Corner Carryout and Corner Bar, "The community is excited which adds to our excitement. Everybody comes in and they are really happy we're open again so we're happy to get it open again. The word of mouth has spread to our customers and it's been great. The community is a very nice place."

The "Corner Bar" will be opening in about six weeks. It's in the old Tiki Bar spot.

Kelly has been working non-stop to open up the bar. He says they are re-doing the space, closing it in and adding heat year-round and air conditioning. They've also moved the bar to make more floor space for customers.

The Corner Carryout is open Monday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. until 11 p.m., and Sunday 11 a.m. until 9 p.m.

They will start delivering to businesses starting on September 3.
