Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) If you drove down the Vestal Parkway on Friday, you couldn't miss it.
Mirabito welcomed Chevron's Delo Truck and Bass Boat to the area.
"The Mirabito organization is very happy to bring the Chevron Delo truck here. What we're attempting to do is bring some opportunities to educate our customers about how lubricants are evolving in today's marketplace," said Joe Mirabito, CEO of Mirabito, "It's important for our company to stay updated on the changing product mix and for our customers to come and stay educated to the changes. It's very important for Chevron to be here because they are the ones with the knowledge and can spread that knowledge to people."
The Delo truck is an 80-foot rolling education center. It was originally launched in 1999. It shares the history of Chevron and contains 19 interactive information stations that explain about Chevron's oils, lubricants and coolants.
It has welcomed more than 1 million visitors over the nation.
"The Delo truck has a history of Chevron and our lubricants and a lot about our engine oil technology and we're bringing this out to the customers and into the marketplace so they can share in this with us," said Gregory Fernandez, Business Development Specialist, Chevron Lubricants, "We want to share our outstanding products with our customers and others. This is an excellent way for us to do that also as a part of a community outreach thing."
During the event, there was entertainment, refreshments and door prizes for Mirabito's customers and the community.
