Drug Stings: Court Sentencings

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Sentencing will be taking place in a few Broome County drug cases that were the result of longer police investigations.

In 2010, New York State Police completed a six-month investigation into marijuana sales.

Troopers seized 85 pounds of marijuana, six cars, $120,000 in cash and 200 Oxycontin tablets.

They arrested eight people from Binghamton, Endicott and Johnson City.

In June, a Broome County Jury convicted Billy Joe Blackman, 35, of Binghamton of felony charges of Criminal Sale of Marijuana and Criminal Possession of Marijuana.

He will be sentenced in August.

The Broome District Attorney's Office released additional convictions in 2011 or 2011:

-Matthew Barrows, 28, of Binghamton was sentenced as a Second Felony Offender to serve three years after a guilty plea to Attempted Possession of Marijuana.

-Phouvanh Rasaphone, 26, of Johnson City was sentenced to a five year term of probation for a guilty plea to Attempted Possession of Marijuana.

-Adam Randesi, 27, of Binghamton, was sentenced as a Second Felony Offender to serve four years after a guilty plea to Attempted Possession of Marijuana.

-Robert L. Randesi, 55, of Endicott, was sentenced to a five year term of probation after guilty plea to Criminal Possession of Marijuana.

In April of 2011, Broome County Sheriff's Deputies conducted a month long investigation into cocaine sales.

They searched a home on Way Street in Binghamton and found cocaine, heroin, ecstasy tablets and weapons.

Amber Graves, 24, pleaded guilty to Attempted Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance.

She was sentenced to five years probation.

Shamar Grant, 29, pleaded guilty to the same charge.

He was sentenced in June to four-and-a-half years in prison as a Second Felony Offender
