Town of Dickinson, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Before Sesame Street takes the stage at the Broome County Forum Wednesday, some of the crew stopped by Broome-Tioga BOCES to say hello.

Elmo and the Cookie Monster brought lots of smiles to BOCES students.

The duo wasn't only there to say hello, they also helped spread an important message. The students learned about nutrition and community service.

"For me, you can't get any better than this because the kids themselves don't have a lot," BOCES Principal Paul Hoffman said. "And for us to be able to get them to understand the big picture, just after the holidays, it's important to understand what giving is all about."

The students brought food to donate to CHOW.

This is the third year members of Sesame Street have come to visit.
