Town of Tioga, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Federal agents from the United States Environmental Protection Agency executed a search warrant at 3481 Waverly Rd. in the Town of Tioga.

Officials from the U.S. EPA and the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation searched the property Tuesday afternoon.

Agents in full body suits and gas masks searched inside and outside of a building. The property is owned by Tioga Hardwoods Manufacturing.

It is unclear what they were searching for, but Action News learned on the scene that the investigation is not related to drugs.

“It could be weeks or even months until any information is made publicly available," said Stephanie Harrington of the New York State DEC. "It’s an active investigation so I can’t comment further.”
