Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It's a festival that prides itself on its traditional food.
Parishioners from St. Cyril's Church spent Monday morning cooking and rolling halupkis in preparation for their Summer Festival.
The Summer Festival is Sunday, July 29 at 148 Clinton Street from 11:00 a.m. until 6:30 p.m.
This mark the 17th year of the festival.
It gives church members an opportunity to share and take pride in their Slovakian culture. There will be raffles, games and traditional food, as well as plenty of entertainment.
"We have live music, we have huge tents for the people to sit under and enjoy the entertainment. We'd love to have everyone come down. We're located on Clinton Street in Binghamton. The admission is free. The prices are right. We haven't raised our prices since last year," said Rita Christopher, Co-Chair of the Festival.
There is live music with the Accords from noon to 2 p.m. and Nyshot's Groove from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
All of the money raised goes back to the church.
