Town of Fleischmanns (WBNG Binghamton) In Eastern Delaware County the Town of Fleischmanns is quote "under water"
That's what emergency personnel manning a roadblock told an Action News videographer about 10 miles outside the Fleischmanns.
The National Weather Service reported a national guard helicopter has been dispatched to rescue people off the roofs of buildings.
Fire departments around the region are sending help, including Johnson City.
Chief Steve Hrustich says JC sent a 5 person swift water rescue team along with its boat and special operations trailer.
They met up with a crew from Kirkwood but were stopped Sunday afternoon at Grand Gorge where a bridge was out.
Hrustich says they were directed to another route.
