Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Johnny Hart Memorial Christina Fellowship Breakfast has become a local tradition, going hand-in-hand with the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

The sixth annual breakfast was held bright and early Thursday at the Kalurah Building in Endicott.

Johnny Hart is most famous for creating the BC comic strip.

Golfers and fans of the Dick's Sporting Goods Open enjoyed a filling breakfast and listened to guest speaker Chip Beck. Beck is a pro golfer on the Champions Tour.

He is of Christian faith and shared some of his experiences on the Champions Tour. He also talked about history playing at En-Joie and in the Dick's Sporting Goods Open.

"The community has supported it for as long as any tournament in PGA Tour history, so it has a tremendous history," said Beck.

Bobby Hart presented Beck with a book as a gift of appreciation.

"This is a great book that is done in commemoration of Johnny Hart. It's all his Christian strips. All his strips that were done. It's going to be a real exciting book, I'm pleased to receive this from Bobby Hart and look forward to reading it," said Beck.

Hart's grandson's Mitt and Mason Mastroianni have continued to produce both B.C. comic strip. They even use Johnny's old studio in Nineveh.
