NYSEG Powers Up Some Holiday Cheer

Kirkwood, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It's the season of giving, and some of Santa's helpers are gearing up to help the community - one toy at a time.

This morning, NYSEG employees packed their cars full of gifts they've donated to the Family and Children's Society.

More than 100 children will receive one of these presents for the holiday.

Everything from toys, books and clothing items are wrapped up.

Workers raised money for the project all year long, and organizers say it's something they look forward to.

"I wish we could see their reaction when they open up the gifts, because you take so much time and care into picking them out and you're like, 'I hope they love it!'" said Jolan Marchese of NYSEG.

NYSEG has provided gifts to the Family and Children's Society for more than 20 years.
